For those who aren’t aware, there is an entire industry based on the concept of “floral prints”, which is basically capturing the essence of flowers on a printed surface (here are some basic examples from Etsy).
While we do think the concept in general is a very intriguing one on the surface, the feelings change when it comes to incorporating floral prints in weddings in particular.
When it comes to weddings, the use of floral prints is first and foremost incredibly tacky. Weddings are once-in-a-lifetime events and when you skimp out on actual flowers in lieu of floral prints, it is a very bad and unbecoming look.
Real flowers are three-dimensional and things that you can actually see and touch, while floral prints are only things that you can see. Not to mention that real flowers have very real scents that appeal to our sense of smell, something that floral prints cannot ever do.
While there are definitely avenues for using floral prints, whether for personal use or for major events, using them in weddings is simply not one of those avenues. Always stick to real flowers, that will perfectly encapsulate the beauty and significance of the event.
